We had a sleep over!

Will was such a good boy. He had such a good time...as long as you don't count bedtime.

Zizi and Uncle Scott had a rough night. It has been a long time since we had babies wake up in the night.

The kicker is... when the night is so restless, it is hard to be upset when this precious face wakes you with kisses and smiles.

He knows how to do the things that make you forget... like say "Zizi"

We had a great time outside.

Kate was wonderful! Kind words, good eating, big girl potty, sleeping through the night.

She was really dead set against pony tails... but when I told her that Breleigh, her cousin, wears them, she was up for it. She is going to Colorado to see her cousins in a week. She is very excited.

Kate had a great time playing with Jayden and Nana. She wished Madison and Payten had been home, but had fun kicking the ball.

My friend, Darbi

Our youth minister and his wife, Darbi, have a blog where they share their plans to return to Africa to the mission field.  Her blog has some great photos from their recent trip to Zambia.  I encourage you to stop over and see how they are progressing in their ministry.  Well anyway, she posted the funniest story about her little girl.  It is so funny, I had to share it with you.... I laughed and laughed and laughed.  I read it to Scott and really enjoyed the deep belly laugh that it brought out of him. Too fun.

You know, I've always heard that a child is never too young to learn about Jesus. Hmm.....

You have to picture my daughter, Cambree. She has HUGE blue eyes and a complete poker face. She gets her "wide-eyed, serious as a heart attack" face on when she is thinking about something serious. Then, she will get right in your face to tell you what she wants to say.

When I tucked her in last night, I told her, "Cambree, you go to sleep. Do you remember what's going to happen to you if you get out of bed?" (answer: spanking)

Her eyes got so big as she looked up at me seriously and whispered, "I'm gonna die on a cross."

Learning from little sister

Lauren has posted the most wonderful story of the lessons God is showing her.  She is my sister and I am so proud of her.  Take some time to read how she is learning to "Trust and Obey."

Granny's birthday continued

the birthday girl... Marjorie Mae

The Birthday Card Surprise was a huge hit! She recieved over 100 cards.

Granny's only sibling, her brother John, and his wife Sally.

Everyone that could come gathered for a group photo.

My dad and his sister, Jan, with Granny

FOOD FOOD FOOD!

My kids with Granny outside of the resturant.

What are little boys made of?

This is the question I find myself asking more often these days. I am constantly left wondering how he thinks of some of the things he comes up with. I find myself not understanding why he does the things he does. Boys are so very strange to me. Although I don't understand him, I do love him. He has a way with my heart.

I love the connection between Father and Son. This is one of my favorites.

Easter part 3

I sure miss my little niece and nephew in Colorado. I just found out my dad is going to visit in two weeks. I am so jealous. I wish they didn't live so far away.

Easter part 2

The rain spoiled any hope of egg hunting, but
we managed to snap a few photos on theback porch.

Little man, Will, was all smiles for his first Easter.

We could not stop laughing at this face... Will did this every time he saw the camera. Makes you want to kiss him!

Pretty little Kate, cooperated with the hat just long enough for a photo.

Easter at Mom's 2009

Easter at Mom and Dad's house was a little smaller than usual this year. Lauren and her family were not able to come from Colorado and Chance and Lindsay were in Denton. So that left more banana pudding, homemade macaroni, baked beans, broccoli casserole.... for us.

More Chance and Lindsay

I love this one. This pasture is one that we all played in as children. I love that all of these years later, here we are. I love the old mixed with the new.

Holy Cow! Isn't she so darling? I love those beautiful eyes!

Handsome.... might not be a good enough word. Strikingly handsome... now we're talking!

Photos of Chance and Lindsay

I love that my sister, Lindsay, loves to take photos. It gives me opportunities to practice and do what I enjoy. The only probelem, Chance hates having his picture taken. Thanks baby brother for putting up with us and looking so "hot" for my photos. They always turn out so great. You guys are too pretty!

Happy 90th Birthday Granny!

We spent the day in Oklahoma with my granny. We had such a great time seeing family and visiting with Granny. The cards that everyone sent her were such a surprise to her. She will take her time reading each and every one of the cards. I think it might take her a while.

Looking back at Easter

My kids are growing so fast. I didn't realize how I missed buying the Easter dress and outfit and preparing for the big hunt. I guess they are getting a little old for that now. How do you stop this train.... it is moving too fast!

Who is spoiled around here?

So we gave up having a beautiful back yard..... to have a playground for dogs.

I don't know what it is about these two. They are having a hard time getting along with others lately. I may have to call Ceasar in to reorder the pack! But I cannot help but love these pretty boys.
